The Oxygym Fitness Club in Billingham opened in November 2004. At 8,000sq feet over two floors they are the largest independent fitness club in Teesside.
A priority for them was to develop an exciting and friendly gym packed with equipment to satisfy all abilities. They have developed a large free weights facility which is complimented by an extensive range of resistance equipment including some the latest ‘Freemotion’ kit imported from the USA. On the second floor is there cardio area and this includes a modern range of equipment designed to get you into the shape of your life. Also on the second floor is their fitness studio where classes are taken. The studio is also available for private hire. Also in the studio are a number of punch bags for those who want a different workout.
Oxygym has a Remedial Therapist and a Beauty Therapist both offering a range of fantastic services.
Oxygym is the home of Personal Fitness Specialists (PES) and Personal Training service. PES is a team of qualified and vastly experienced Personal Trainers. Sessions last for 1 full hour and can start as early as 6.30am. Every session is specifically designed to reflect your current and improving fitness levels. They usually work with one person at a time but can work with two people with similar fitness objectives.
Oxygym is in partnership with Lifetime Fitness hosts the Oxygym Academy which is a training facility for NVQ 2 Health and Fitness and NVQ 3 Personal Training.
Their most important objective is to ensure that all their members get the very best from their membership at Oxygym. As fitness professionals and Personal Trainers they offer all their customers a free exercise planning service. This means they can analyse your current level of fitness and match this against your fitness objectives and produce a fitness plan specifically tailored to your exact requirements.
